Your babies photo session can be a creative fun cake smash , a creative photoshoot when bub is starting to sit or a simplistic session to focus on your little one to capture their beautiful personality & little features as they are growing.
Themed & Styled Cake Smash Sessions
So it's time for your little ones cake smash already!
First of all Babies have a very small window when being pgotographed and just in general as they are still tiny and have very short rutine cycles during the day.

With this said we allow 30 minutes for babies from six months and 1 year session.
​
We Highly Recommend NOT booking your Baby's Photo session on the day of their birthday or birthday party.
This is very overwhelming for a baby. Over stimulation is very tiring for a little one leaving them very unsettled for their session or for their birthday party.

Whats included?
cake smash sessions includes one of our single coloured backdrops, the Numbers ONE. & some props available in the studio for your little ones 1st year milestone.

THEMED SESSIONS & PRICING
​
Themed & styled cake smash sessions may require an additional cost depending on what you want for your little ones session.
Props such as:
Big balloon garlands, sets that have a lot of different props that need to be sourced & themed backdrops such as Winnie the poo, Moana etc. that we don't have in studio may require a lot of time & costly supplies so additional costs will be added to your session to allow us to supply what is needed.

Again we do need time to supply some props so its a good idea to book early as some props & backdrops come from overseas.

Booking a Cake Smash
It is best to book your little ones smash at least a month in advance & 3 months for themed session. Select a date that is not on their Birthday or Birthday party. possibly a week before or after
babies at this age tire quickly and with cake thrown in the mix it really is a big day for your baby so doing a cake smash session before or after a party is not advised.
Where are Cake Smash sessions held?
Cake Smash Sessions are generally shot in the Aura Artistic Images Studio. Outdoor Sessions can be arranged on the Aura Artistic Images property.
For Brisbane session cake smash session may be held in your home or in a location the photographer has organized depeding
If you would like a cake Smash session outside of Aura Artistic Images property please contact me before booking.
to ADD a CAKE to your Session | from $60
The cake must be ordered at least 4 weeks before the session date. If you have any more questions about this please feel free to contact me, I am happy to help.
Props/Themes
If you are after a customised Themed set up I will need to know at least 6-8 weeks in advance to be sure I can source the props needed. Additional props & balloon garlands can come with an additional cost so please let us know your ideas when you contact us.
Booking your baby's session
I recommend booking your baby's session after their morning nap and avoid giving your baby food the day before the session that may affect their mood such as sugar filled foods like sweets, cakes, a lot of juice etc.
Where are 1 year & Baby sessions held?
Sessions are generally shot in the Aura Artistic Images Studio or on location.

Babies 3 months to 1 year
Baby Sessions & 1 year sessions are kept at 30 minutes.
the window to photography your baby at such a young age is much shorter than older children & adults as they tire quickly and become restless so I keep this sessions short to ensure I get the best out of your little ones session.
SITTER sessions 6-9 months
Sitter sessions are taken around 6-9 months once baby is sitting.
3-6 month sessions
3-6 month sessions are usually taken once bub can hold his/her head and torso up. Session under 3 may can be done with some newborn styled shots &/or more lifestyle (both are super cute. I have put a few images of 2 & three month old babies below for refeence.
